Before joining the Universal family in 2001, Stacie cultivated extensive professional experience, serving as a manager and corporate trainer for a global restaurant chain, an assistant controller for a multi-location brake repair company, and a procurement specialist for the engineering department of a national granite mining company. Simultaneously, she nurtured her passion for photography from the age of 16 through the mid-2010s, specializing in artistic imagery, wedding, and portrait photography services during her leisure time.
Upon joining Universal, Stacie adeptly managed multiple properties for three years before ascending to the corporate office as the assistant to the VP of Development. This led to her assuming the role of marketing and brand manager for the company, along with assisting as a stand-in site auditor as needed. Recognizing the imperative for expansion within Universal, Stacie proactively established the company’s Marketing department and subsequently took on the role of Director of Marketing for over seven years. Later, upon the company’s merger and expansion, she played a pivotal role in organizing the Training department.
In her current capacity at USG, Stacie has been a vital member of the Leadership Team for over a decade, holding the esteemed position of Vice President of Marketing and Training, and serving as the team leader for the Marketing and Training (M&T) Team. In this dual role, she provides oversight for brand management, design, and marketing initiatives for both the company and for USG's extensive portfolio of 70+ storage facilities. Additionally, Stacie leads the company's multiple award-winning 4-Phase Manager Training program and New Store Startup(STARS) teams. With a robust background spanning over 22 years in the storage industry, covering every facet of the business, Stacie collaborates closely on USG's facility development and transition projects, significantly contributing to the company's growth and numerous industry awards over the past two decades.
Stacie pursued a Bachelor of Science (BBS) in Art Education and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in business management, and has also earned the CSSM™ designation from the National Self Storage Association. Beyond her corporate responsibilities, she actively engages with the industry, generously sharing her expertise through speaking engagements at events and webinars, as well as contributing numerous articles to industry publications. Stacie is always eager to assist managers and operators in their pursuit of success in the self-storage industry.
